You've gone above and beyond the call of S-car duty on this GP, James. I
certainly appreciate all the trouble you've gone to so I can get my stealth
black hoses at a reasonable price.

Consider the international incident as a bonus - payback for the softwood
lumber tariff :o)

Hi Gang,

Samco Hoses:
I figured I'd wait until Monday morning to give you the bad news, looks
like
another two weeks delay before Samco finishes the production (no joke),
sorry. I talked to Samco on Friday looking for an update as I was expecting
them to ship to me last week, they said the production got sidetracked for
reasons they didn't want to go into but said they still need two weeks to
finish up. Not much I can do at this point but wait for them to ship them
out...

Clamps:
Ok, the majory that responded said they want ECS clamps... ok! When I
initially called Tom at ECS and he said he was willing to knock off a few
dollars. He said he would call back but never does, and I've called over
and
over again and each time I'm told someone will call me back. I've called

a douzen times, I will call one more time for you guys but that's it (I'm
not begging for friggin clamps...). No one from the S-list responded on the
Samco OD sizes, so when I spoke to Samco I asked for them, they will send
them to me this week. So you will have the choice of going ECS (if they
answer, or maybe you will have better luck than me) or buy direct from
McMaster or one the other places I listed.

*** For Your Information...
Samco informed me of an unfortunate incident, that I want to make you aware
of. As you all know, this GP started off as a small initiative to gets a
few
kits at a reasonable price, but everyone wanted on board and this
snowballed... As a member of the s-car community, I thought no problem I'll
do what I can to help out and I didn't turn anyone away, this being my
first
GP and all. Unfortunately Samco's official supplier in the US (Brits) and a
main reseller of these specific hoses took great offense to this when they
found out about this GP. The problem was that I was also allowing US
members
to get in on a deal which they claim market exclusivity (distribution
rights). There was no intenteded deception, or intended infringement on my
part or Samco's, I was just including members of the S-car community
regardless of their location. Unfortunately this event got them in hot
water
with their US distributor, hopefully this will not escalate past some
frustration, and this matter can be put to rest. Samco has already been
paid, and they said they will honor their commitments, but they've informed
me this cannot happen again. So just to state for the record, since Brits
has an understanding with Samco, I will not be doing any further GP's for
Samco hoses with US members.

My first GP and I've caused an international incident...Oh dear !
