Chad,
first of all, you don't need to do ANYTHING on the inside of the car.
The sunroof goes in from above. The roof in our car is a perimetre
welded steel envelope. No acess from the headliner.
I have removed the sunroof for cleaning/repair in the type-44 cars at
least 3 times. I am sure the C4 chassis is no differen. Just install the
damn thing in your ca, will ya! :)
Another thing I need to ask you. You wouldn't happen to have the plastic
cover for the sunroof controls, would you? It is the one with the rotary
knob and the cabin light. All I need is the plastic cover, with the tabs
not broken.
