[s-cars] S6 Voltage Regulator?

They come in threes...My previous message was re:
sunroof (repaired) and door locks (ugh, not repaired).
I tested my voltage output after noticing the dash
gauge showing a higher than normal output. Is 14.46
volts out of spec, and indicative of a faulty
regulator and not the alternator? Is there a voltage
regulator that can be replaced? Where is it? And how
do I replace it?
Any help is appreciated. Especially if you can direct
me to an archived thread.
