Bob,
what I meant was an aftermarket chip would normally have an paper ID
label with a checksum on it. I thought Dave was interested in
identifying the aftermarket chips in his ECU. Now, after he has posted
the p/n of one of his chips it has become apparent that her still has
the OEM chips in the brain

Now, here's the info about the OEM chips with which my '97 UrS6 came
from the factory.

The BOTTOM (main board) EPROM.

Silver label (Bosch p/n): 1 267 357 483
28-pin DIP
Make: Ti
Memory capacity: 256K
Ti p/n:
-20JT

LD 58A 647P

The TOP (aux board) EPROM.
Motronic p/n (on board): S701
Silver label (Bosch p/n): 1 267 357 391
28-pin DIP

Memory capacity: 512K
Ti p/n:
