I think a better way to test it, is to remove the vacuum line (the small one
that connects to the BPV) from where the line connects to the intake
manifold. Pull a vacuum of about 6-8 lbs on this line with vacuum pump. If
it holds at that level, you're ok. This way you test not only the BPV but
the hose also. And, you don't have to remove the BPV to test it.
