Hey Paul K -  With the T-stat being less than 20 bucks, you might as well do
them both, depending on $ for MFTS.  From one who drained and refilled the
coolant system 4x this year (don't ask) just do them both while it's apart.

Look at it this way: the Wife gets to deal with the kid, you get to play in
the garage, and you'll get 5-10 newfound HP, depending on the proper T-stat
orientation AND if you buy parts from your local friendly supplier, or from
that new Audi Modification Shop that just relocated across the border in
Mexico... I hear their 4" muffler tips are going like, well.. going
