When I saw this email from our man from UK, I imagined it will have to
do with Andouillette. But nope, not at all.
Too bad !!!

Regards,
Frederic

This is a really common problem on Audi's of all types - bit of a design
fault where the rubber mountings for the pipeshold trap moisture against
the pipes and simultaneously, and very gently, rub, rub, rub.

There are two solutions:

1. the expensive way - get a new set of pipes and mounts from Audi.

2. get somebody (I used Dialynx, obviously not a practical proposition
in the States) to make up a new set in Cunifer. This rust proof alloy is
what they should have been made from in the first place. It's pretty
easy (and very satisfying) to fit up the pipes yourself, if you have the
right sort of pipe bending and flaring tools.

Cunifer pipes will last as long as the car.
