To all of you who provided so much information in resolving my Clutch
Master Cylinder problem - thank you. As it turned-out it was a broken
connecting rod. I replaced the MC and the Supply Line. Although
several you suggested using a pressure bleeder to bleed the System, I
could not find one locally to rent and being the conservative [too
cheap] that I am, did not opt to buy one; therefore, I bleed the System
using the following method.
1] Filled the MC for the Brake system and gravity bleed the Clutch by
opening the bleeder at the Slave.
2] Closed the Bleeder and topped-off the System.
3] Pump the Clutch about 25 times, or until the MC fills with fluid and
becomes firm.
4] Top-off System.
5} This step requires two people - one person depresses clutch while the
other opens the bleeder at the same time.
6] Repeat step #5, if necessary.
Also, I am looking for input regarding the use of synthetic fluids in
both the transmission and the engine.
Thanks again,
Dan
