Thing is I think very few wake up in the morning thinking hmmm, I think
I'll go buy a used A8. They do possibly wake up thinking bimmer, merc,
lexus, infiniti, honda and even a6, a4 though. The car is so
understated that its easily overlooked.
My wife likes a cool car, but also wants understatement. And she's had
a 93 Legend since new.
BTW FWIW I believe starting with year 2000, the interior and exterior
was updated somewhat and a bit more power added.
There's a good a8 buyers checklist at audipages.com.
Rod's friends car was prolly green with yellow leather and really who
knows what else they do to cars down there. he he

ps
IMHO though this car (non L) appears large, I thought it felt and
handled very very well for a cruiser:)
