No,no, Chi, you're not supposed to SELL your Audi - you drive it until it's
totally worn out (it should take about 30 years :o)

Audi's don't fair too well in resale values because
AOA doesn't support the used car prices.

My wife works for BMW and she says they have a whole
dept dedicated to finding ways to keep used car values
high (like dealer incentives to buy at auction above a
certain price). It sounds to me like they're
artificially inflating the used car prices and I doubt
they'd have much affect on cars that are more than 4
years old and not sold through a dealership or
auction.

Among the biggest high end brands, Audi ranks at the
top for $ lost to depreciation. My 97 2.8 A4Q
purchased new for $32k was only worth $5500 ($6500 if
it wasn't dented) in a trade (Mazda MPV, cough cough)
when a dealership looked at it last weekend. I know
it needs about $2,000 in maintenance and another $1500
to repair the dent. Maybe I should park the car in
Newark,NJ and hope it gets stolen.

I don't think I'll ever buy a new Audi ever again.

Chi
