Hi All,
As much as we all would like to personally walk into Hoffman and urinate on
the GM's fine Italian loafers (you just KNOW he wears tassels), filling out
the Audi complaint form may actually work against Rich when his time comes
before the powers that be. I think that Rich's immediate needs are to be
well-informed, both technically and legally, as to how to best proceed with
his case. I submit that, at times, you must drop one egg in order to save
the lot - in Rich's case, however, he's the one egg that risks the fall.
Until he has exhausted certain remedies, I would advise against retaliation
that results, at best, in a very uncertain outcome.
I second Rod's suggestion to contact the state AG's office - often, they are
the recipient of complaints much like Rich's. Until they stumble upon the
RIGHT claim, however, the state AG's office often remains unable to commit
the resources to challenge a dealer until it the dealer is shown to be a
pure deadbeat. Rich's case may have just the right flavor. Rich, a
well-placed phone call is often all that is required. First, contact the CT
Sec. of State and find out who is on the hook with Hoffman - Get a copy of
all the names of the Officers & Execs at Hoffman - this way the AG or your
lawyer will know who to squeeze.

Hows about everyone fill out this handy dandy contact friendly audi usa form
right from their own audi usa site?
http://www.audiusa.com/customer_care_feedback/0,6110,,00.html
It supposedly goes to "Audi Customer Care" (not?)
Perhaps Dave M. or our on staff list counsel could tell us how to fill it
out
and maybe if they get 100 emails on one stupid dealer screw up they may
exert
some pressure to fix it. Hell I'll even write em twice if it helps. .. You
know Chicago ...vote early and often:)
So, what should we say and should we fill in our own vins or Daves, what
should the comments section say and who is the dealer again?
What say ye men?
Bill m -rabble rouser
Should I summon Jesse?
