Ditto.
I called my mechanic to discuss this (sent you email to call me).
He says if you pull the car out of there you end all claims, but if they
let you take the car without paying and cut your losses there, he'll get
you back together quickly at a fraction of the price.
He says don't worry about the lower end, as long as they replace the bad
valves and seals it should be fine.
