Finally got time to replace the thermostat today. Not too bad a job as you=
all stated. In trying to get coolant through the whole system, I was chan=
ging the settings back and forth for heat and somewhere along the line I hi=
t the Auto button and the AC came on. When it did, I noticed a buzzing sou=
nd that increases with RPM. As soon as I turned of the AC it quit. Any id=
eas? And while I'm at it, can anyone tell me what the spark plugs look lik=
e for these beasts? I pulled one today as I was checking their tightness a=
nd noticed that the ends are different from other plugs that I have used. =
They are round on the very tips and there were some black deposits. Is the=
re anywhere I can see what a new one looks like for comparison? I have a m=
iss between 2-3k that I think is ignition related so I want to start with t=
he cheapest things first (checking that plugs are tight etc). I did notice=
that one of the boots that run from the coils to the plugs had the bottom =
broken off. Could this cause the miss? Seems to go away in very cold dry =
weather. Again, any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. You all=
have been right on so far!
