Finally got time to replace the thermostat today.  Not too bad a job as you=
 all stated.  In trying to get coolant through the whole system, I was chan=
ging the settings back and forth for heat and somewhere along the line I hi=
t the Auto button and the AC came on.  When it did, I noticed a buzzing sou=
nd that increases with RPM.  As soon as I turned of the AC it quit.  Any id=
eas?  And while I'm at it, can anyone tell me what the spark plugs look lik=
e for these beasts?  I pulled one today as I was checking their tightness a=
nd noticed that the ends are different from other plugs that I have used.  =
They are round on the very tips and there were some black deposits.  Is the=
re anywhere I can see what a new one looks like for comparison?  I have a m=
iss between 2-3k that I think is ignition related so I want to start with t=
he cheapest things first (checking that plugs are tight etc).  I did notice=
 that one of the boots that run from the coils to the plugs had the bottom =
broken off.  Could this cause the miss?  Seems to go away in very cold dry =
weather.  Again, any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  You all=
 have been right on so far!
