Whoops, forgot to ask-

Regarding the suspension install:

When we were doing the rears, we noticed that the RR had a top "hat",
"perch", or whatever that had sort of self destructed.  Basically, the top
shock nut had busted through and rounded out the big metal "hat".  Anyone
ever experience this?  Or is this a case of the PO taking ravine crossings
ala Duke's of Hazzard-style???  Knew I'd felt an almost indiscernible rattle
back there, thought I was being anal (typical).

We welded in a washer and made it serviceable, I've ordered a new one today
to replace it.
