ECS -- Tom and his family are IMO as good as you can get at customer
service.

I try to visit them each year on my way from NJ to the q-club event at
Mid-Ohio. This year's event was June 19-21.  I called Tom the day before I
left and made arrangements to have my oil changed there when I stopped by.
On my way to the event, due to an unexpected meeting with a PA state
trooper, I was seriously late and didn't arrive until 6:15 PM when the shop
closes at 5:00 PM.   They waited around for me, and while Tom's dad Andy
changed my oil, his brother Brian handed me the keys of his rs4-upgraded
s4TT and we went for a ride.  The car was a blast,A REAL BLAST, and when I
can back, they were done with the oil change and were adding 2 extra pins
for the belly pan that were missing -- N/C for the pins -- Andy didn't want
the belly pan falling off at the track.  Tom's an I-5t guy at heart, but his
business with the 2.7tt and 1.8t has really kept his so busy this past year
he's had almost no time to devote to the older cars.


Paul, I was surprised to read about what happened, but I'm not surprised by
Tom's response.

Rant.

OK, I'll retract my "enormous F U to ECS" comment from my earlier post.
Figured I'd share with all the resolution to the matter, afterall, customer
services goes a very long way (in my worthless book at least).

Just spoke with Tom @ ECS.  He didn't even bat an eye at the situation...
for my troubles, he's overnighting the 2nd pad sensor and crediting me $50
for my inconvenience.

This was a perfect response to the situation, one that I felt worth sharing
with you.  People are 10x likely to complain than they are to compliment, so
I figured it was good to speak on ECS's behalf for their handling of the
matter.
