[s-cars] propellar shaft again S6

Hey! i've found a firm that will rebuild my carrier bearing for about 150$
so thats what i'm gonna do, but i have to remove the shaft my self...
anybody done this before? is this a though job? any how to's or anything?
i'd appreciate any kind of help here=)

One other question, with the propellar shaft removed can i move the car? i
know i cant drive it but cant it be towed(?) home from where i work on the
car? or shouldn't the car be moved at all without the shaft in place?
