It can be done, but refitting the top into its groove is very difficult.
I'd work the top into place first, so you've got a little more flexibilty to
fight the SOB. For the bottom, I've given up on the stock retaining system
and just use a zip tie to hold it in place.

Does anyone know if the front shock/strut dust sleeve (rubber billows) can
be removed from the top without compressing coil and other significant work?
Bentley seems to indicate it can and I'd like to confirm. Any tricks or
BTDTs appreciated. Mine has split and come loose at the bottom and needs to
be replaced.
