For a purer red than a magic marker will make, there are lamp "condoms"
made from colored transparent silicon rubber that can be purchased in
various sizes from electronics distributors. I haven't tried them on my
S6, but have used a red one to color a replacement lamp on my 90q radio
and a blue one to dim the high beam lamp on my wife's 90q.
