Do you have glass breakage coverage on your insurance? Some states it's
next to nothing for personal payout, but it just depends. I put a really
low deductible on my glass breakage (like $100), and I have $250 and $500
for everything else. Otherwise, I bet the windshield, with new trim and
seal (which you really must replace with the glass) will run you $700-800.
I think total bill for a new peice of OE glass and trim for my S4 was
something around $700 to get it all done. The place I had do the work was
comissioned by the local Audi dealer and they did a magnificent job. I was
very happy with the install.

I too hear the PPG glass is the best. Is this confirmed... what is the
difference. I hear a lot of the german glass is very soft, hence it chips
very easily, but durable in the fact that it can last for many years.
