Hi & thank you to everyone who replied,
As Elton once said: " The Boost is Back !"..... had a lot of great suggesti=
ons which after holidays will summarize and post. What I did find was a pl=
astic hose connector between the vacuum hose to the top of the turbo and th=
e hose from the A'pexi solenoid was melted and had a small hole. Good ole'=
Canadian Tire Store, $ 6.00 , new plastic connector ( do they make a metal=
one?), new heavy rubber hose and my whistling A'pexi batmobile is flying o=
nce more and producing the pre-problem boost levels. The old cloth wrappe=
d hose was pretty brittle and needed replacement anyway, worth checking if =
you have one of these skinny hoses.
That probably would have cost me $ 60- 100 bucks at my dealer, and that is =
if they would have found it right away !!... the responses I got were simpl=
e and got me excited to really try to solve this myself....thank you lister=
s=2E
.=2E..on to my fuel line leak and I will be happy till the next crisis....b=
ut it's worth it !
