I've heard/read of people considering this move but
look at it this way.
If you lower your car you reduce suspension ride
height obviously but think of it also as reducing
suspension travel till you hit the rubber stop w/Konis
or the built in stop w/Bilsteins.
If you lean all the way onto the stop say during
hard cornering at a track event the spring rate is
effectively 1,000,000 lbs. OK I exagerate but it does
go up ALOT and this isn't what you want.
And with 2"s chopped from your travel the last
thing you want is less spring rate to make up for it.
So why would you want to lower a car 2 full inches and
then have too light a spring rate? Makes no sense to
me.
