The center console does not need to come out for this. The difflock unit pops
out from the top. There are springclips at the top and bottom (narrow ends).
Use a butterknife or a feeler gauge to carefully wedge under the top lip and
slowly pry it in and up. Be careful, use the whole width of the blade under
the lip, not just the tip or you might gouge the plastic. Note that I am
making this sound WAY harder than it really is, it's very simple and actually
difficult to break anything.
