Which pads? Does this persist with the stock pads? Some of the pads are
thicker than others (see the archives wrt my spat with MGW I give actual
measures). Are the pistons retracting fully? If they are, you should be
able to clear the S6 rotor, I've service these without problems, and run the
thick Colemans myself for years with no problems. A couple other items to
ck.
Take the rotors to a good brake cutting dude. Have him check for radial
runout, and hub runout. Make sure your calipers are parrallel to the rotor.
The easiest way to ck this is to spray water on the rotor (get surface rust),
then do a couple brake apps, to see if you have uniform sweep radially. One
thing I learned with Big Reds on audis, audis tolerances on the strut and
mounting tabs is usually higher than many offering "standard bolt-on" kits
accomodate.
This issue is only one of "finding" the culprit. I also find that the choice
of wheels (and their runout condition) can cause rotors to wobble.
