Hey gang,
I have a new development that I have come across in the past couple
weeks. Keep forgetting to post it so here goes.
I am getting a clunk sound when I turn my steering wheel right and hit
about 3 O'clock, then get it again when I bring it back past again. I have
a '92 so I am thinking that I have finally developed the steering rack weld
issue. I have scowered the welds looking for any signs of cracks but I can't
find any. Plus, I would think it would happen at more that just the one spot
in the turning of the wheel. I have gone through all the ball joints in the
suspension, but can't seem to track it down. I have new upper strut
bearings. Anyone else out there experience something like this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark in UT
