[s-cars] Front control arm R&R

There is a small aluminum sleeve that fits inside the inner bushing and
extends past the bushing at the top and bottom a few mm's. The top and
bottom of the sleeve extend into the upper and lower mounting holes and
center the bushing in the subframe. The bolt holding control arm in then is
fitted inside this sleeve.

The sleeve is difficult to remove, but a larger diameter bolt or punch can
be used to drive it further into the upper subframe so that the lower end
clears the subframe and the control arm can then be wrestled out. It is
advisable to order new sleeves when replacing the control arm since it is
very difficult to remove them without damage.

When I was replacing shocks and springs on my car I tried to remove the
lower control arm to make it easier to remove the strut. No F'ing way. The
bushing is longer than the opening the control arm goes into, so without
removing the bushing the control arm is trapped. Getting the bushing out
will require some type of puller but I haven't looked into much to figure if
it's something someone could easily fabricate with normally available garage
items and matchsticks.
