Paul K.-
Something to raise the bar of your shindig.... :-)

Yesterday, I went to Avantfest- fairly big gathering of S4tt owners,
with a nice twisty drive through the Brandywine/Kennett Square area,
ending at a local Audiworlder's house, where they had a BBQ and a keg.

Paul- one word- well planned drive pre-festivities w/ route map and
radio coordination is the way to go. Groups of 6-7 cars.

I was pleased that I could keep up w/ a non-chipped S4tt w/o any
problems,
but I'm certain a chipped S4tt would smoke me like I wasn't even there.

Since most of these guys have no idea what a 5 cylinder Audi is, I think
they were quite surprised that Audi had cars with decent power back
then.
Probably kind of like what a Benz owner's reaction would be if a guy
showed
up w/ a tweaked 6.9 to a current Benz owners' gathering. Or better yet,
an AMG Hammer or a 560SEC 6.0 32v.

Also got a ride in Todd Sager's 420hp S4 Avant- oh man is that car
sweet.
4 people in the car and it pulls like no tomorrow. Awesome brakes, too.
Sorry to say it, but without a very well tuned stroker 5, there are no
UrS
cars that can match this car's driveability, solidity and power. It's of
course not apples to apples when you're talking about a near $70k car
vs. a $12k car or even a $30k car, but this car is the first 2.7t car
that
really knocked my socks off. The RS4 must truly be an impressive machine
indeed.

The S4 is still a couple seconds off a 951S at the track, though. :-)
