The A8 does not have the CRB transmission in it.
They all have the same basic 'model' of transmission, which is the '01E',
as opposed to the 016, 012 or others. As long as you are talking about
cars that have the engine (crankshaft) in a front to back direction -
the only 6 speed is the type 01E. That does not by any means mean
that the A8, UrS4/S6, RS2, and S4tt are the same. They are not. There
are a variety of differences, some important and some only a minor
difference in gear ratios.
