thermostat installed, it runs after most shutdowns (up to 10 minutes after
shutdown) here in sunny N.E. in the summer time. Almost never in the winter.
If you have a 80C thermostat, it may not come on except on the hottest days.
Note that it takes a while after shutdown for the pump and fan to come on.

I shorted the switch and the fan came on. But, I have never heard it
startup after shutdown in over 6 years. What temperature does the engine
have to reach before it turns on. My temp rarely gets above the 4th line
on the water temp gauge on my 1993 S4.
