[s-cars] turn signal problem

today I installed my new clear corners and
unfortunately, the supplied lights do not fit the
wiring pins (the diameter of the new socket on the
light holder is slightly smaller on the new one) so I
put the old light holder back in the new corner with
the new yellow bulb.  Did the left one first, tested
it.  perfect.  Did the right, tested it, perfect.
After testing with the headlights turned on, got the
bad bulb icon on the instrument cluster), and noticed
a constant *bright* on, on the left side only.
Testing the left blinker, got a "fast" blinker,
although fornt and back worked.  Now with lights on or
off, I get the fast blinker only on the left.  With
the lights on, the left corner is brightly illuminated
and the right is not.  the right blinker always works
fine.
Fuses are all OK as well.
Not a rich topic for the listers, but some of you must
have done this before.....
