Hey, I wanted to add a boost gauge to my 1994 Audi S4 so that I can monitor
the boost and see how my engine is performing.  I am only a beginner though
in terms of car mechanics, and was wondering how difficult of a process this
would be to mount and wire up.  What is the process in mounting this device,
and which one do you recommend?  Also, I was looking at the gauges, and I
saw
both boost gauges with boost psi only and gauges with both boost psi and
vacuum psi, which one should i get?  Thanks a lot for the help and update.

Ah shucks fellas, can't pass this one up...

SWEET!  "C" pillar boost gauge time!  Who'da thunk?  You're pretty
considerate over there, what with caring so much that your back seat
passengers can look over their shoulders to monitor your boost pressure for
you!  What better way to keep your eyes on the road.

OK, sorry 8-), we all know we mount our gauges on the "B" pillar... ;o

Mikey unbeknownst to him but knownst to us opens up the heated debate of
"what boost gauge to get".  I'm not even going to render an opinion here,
as, just like arseholes...

Personally, I got a black VDO gauge, including vacuum.  Install was simple,
some route it down to the ECU, I routed mine straight down into the driver
footwell, out an existing rubber buttplug in the firewall, and T'ed it into
the vacuum line that exists in parallel with the strut tower.  Easy access,
easy install.  Wiring on the other hand (I'm an idiot, ask those who
know)...  I intend to tie it into the ashtray bulb, as Rich A. and others
have suggested.

As far as pods, all I know is the one I got sucks.  Don't ask.  Hey Don
