Igor

I am currently running the TurboXS RBV-34 bypass valve. It is a piston type
BPV with adjustable spring compression. The adjustable compression comes via
shims that you add internally. I have been happy with this valve but I will
be switching to a slightly larger Turbosmart valve. I am switching for 2
reasons. The first is aesthetic in that I'm also going with the Turbosmart
wastegate and they match. Both feature blue(matches the Samco blue) anodized
aluminum cases. Secondly, the Turbosmart valve is externally adjustable.

There is also a smaller TurboXS valve available that more easily adapts to
the stock intake hoses. I have sent Darin a comparison photo for him to post
that has both of these valves and 2 other HKS diaphram valves.

It should be noted that I am not switching bacause I'm not happy with the
TurboXS valve. It did take 6 shims(4 that came with it and 2 others I had to
add myself) before it would hold against the flow of the Happersized turbo.
Could it function better? Perhaps. We'll see if the larger diameter bore of
the Turbosmart enhances its performance over the TurboXS.

The Turbosmart wastegate is simply beautiful. It does require a lot of
adaptation and is definately not plug and play. It measures 45mm internally
vs the stock 31mm. Performance reports will follow after I return from
vacation in several weeks. Sorry, but I don't have any pictures of the
wastegate.
