Why I feel compelled to add my .02, I'm not sure. Just another data point
for this unruly discussion. I too had the exact same results as Joe with a
neuS4 this last summer. Windows down, 93-95 degrees F, 5300ft elevation,
already cruising at 55, laser red neuS4 comes up alongside, I drop it into
3rd, he sees this and does the same(2nd? 3rd? 4th? I don't know) All I do
know is that through the rest of my 3rd and well into 4th, neither of us
pulled on one another by even one car length. As you guys say, dead nuts
even!

It was awesome listening to the crescendo of a 5cyl turbo and a V6tt side by
side bounce off one another at or near redline with windows down.

I have no idea what he had in the car(chipped or stock) Engine wise I only
had a chip, free flow exhaust, RS2 e-manifold. I felt pretty good the rest
of the day seeing as how those cars are supposed to do 5.6 sec 0-60. Can my
car do that kind of 0-60, hell no. I'm sure I would have lost had it been
from a standing start. What do these results mean? Absolutely nothing, just
happy with the car.
