Good Morning Listers:
Blue-green juice on the garage floor dripping every 5 secs from the car. Uh
oh. Car goes on ramps (they're cheap ones but also use 2 ea. 6k lb jack
stands & term insurance - no anti sieze or olive oil), remove the underside
cover. Glad to find that it's washer fluid, not coolant. It's dripping
through the intercooler directly beneath the washer reservoir. Did not
identify the *exact* leak location since I chose not to pull the reservior;
the single use hose clamp, miserable short hose length, and fragile looking
nylon T fitting discouraged me from doing so until I get parts -- it's late
and I'd probably break it! Does not appear to leak at the pump, maybe
there's a crack at a joint or flange that concentrates stress where I can't
see it? (bottomside?)
Any BTDT? Where did yours leak? Reservoir p/n is 4AD 955 453 A. Is the
Nylon T fitting as fragile as it appears? (ie do I buy one?)
Thanks,
Steve Voit
