HEAR HEAR! Amen to that. I am sick of hearing discussions on this list of
how one is able to best another car (Maxima most recently) in the other lane
on the street, or this car vs. that. If you really want to test the car,
take it to a DE-- but be prepared to be humbled. I've been lapped on the
dry track by a mildly-prepped VW-Rabbit on a good driver.
In my honest opinion, based on my own fairly substantive track experiences,
the S4 (even with 300hp and Big Reds, HR sports) is an overweight pig and
is no match for stock M3's and Pcars. S4 holds true advantage only on a wet
track. There is just too much weight to overcome.
