Hi Hap & Igor,
Hap, the 824 is a monster; 10" impeller, electronic ignition, 8 hp stock, 5
speeds forward and 14 X 4 Pneumi's on 2WD. Those are pretty cool stats and
upgrades, how does it perform in the drifts & 1/4 block ?....but the
Colorado Rockies pale in comparsion to the frozen wasteland of the Canadian
Prairies, where skin freezes in 30 seconds & wind whistles and gathers speed
as it blasts down from Alaska and the Yukon to ultimately cause havoc in the
US Heartland. Every spring they still uncover early Canadian Pioneers
frozen and buried, a harsh and demanding test track for any S-Blower worth
it's weight in shear pins !! I found a DIY upgrade in the latest edition of
Snow & Ice, where I replaced the multi directional crank handle with a new
billet titanium unit from Furkitsnowin & Kold, a little two- inuit
specialty shop just south of the 'Circle ( ya, the Arctic Circle!) dedicated
to helping you blow when you want to go.
Igor, that is a heck of a deal.....can't seem to find any specs or reviews
on your S-blower, are you sure it is a Toro, maybe it is a grey market
blower, made in Asia, sort of like those fake Rolex's !! How big is your
impeller?? Width is king here in Tundra Ville, Hap sounds like he has 12"
on you !!!
Now this is getting good, need your help here Dave!!!...
Randy
close to the circle and where hockey players don't use self propelled
s-blowers, now you know why we win!...okay, that was cheap.

60's something Ariens waiting to be blow'n
Randy, Hap, Tom, et al-
Re-sis-ting___urge___to___re-ply___DAMMIT! Can't do it... 8-)...
All this talk about snow tires and snowBLOWers and HP and augers... scoff.
Snow's got ME thinking of ONE thing, and I'm shocked no one else has yet
brought it up. While we've had but a dusting here in sunny CT yet so far,
LET IT SNOW, as...
...it's almost snowMOBILE season! Or, for you Canuck'ers, upper
midwesterners, wayway NE'ers, snowMACHINE season 8-).
Try these stats on, run out, saddle up, take a test rip, and you'll see why:
-500cc's of Suzuki power
-dual 45mm Mikuni carbs
-96 studs in track
-475lbs of Arctic Cat prowess, double wishbone A-arms, independent,
adjustable coil over suspension and all
-NINETY-SIX horsepower whooo hooooo!
-YOU do the math...
Or power 'roughly equal' to that of my stock TR3 (100) or my stock 242GT
(114), and much better power to weight than my AUDI (MAC!). All at the
squeeze of your thumb. And mine's just a baby one. My bud's 700 at the
same weight pushes 140 horsies, with the top dawg 1000 pushing (gasp) 172
horse... hmmm... have a VR6 between your thighs lately?
BRING ON OLD MAN WINTER!
