Hello Folks,
Last night I drove a local 3/95 built S6 that is for sale. Woman bought it
from a local guy, and is too short to make the seats fit her, so she is
going back to a Maxima that she has had four of.
It was a little tough to tell with the parking garage lighting, but the
exterior seems to be in good shape. A few scratches here and there, but
nothing major. Not even too much Colorado road rash on the front. It is
black on black which is why I will take a pass on this one. I had a black
SAAB 900t, and swore to never own another black ride.
All seemed to be good on the drive except that she put brand new STUDDED
snows on it last month. Talk about serious overkill. So at speed, it is way
noisy and squirly. The summer tires are said to be in good shape, but I
didn't see them, and she didn't know what they were. Seemed to have some
excessive wind noise from the windshield, like it might have had a bad
install, but again, hard to tell with the studs screaming.
Car has 77,800 mi. and everything seemed to work. No leaks visible in the
engine bay. I forgot to check or ask about the fuel line recall, but she
would not have known about it anyway. She seemed to think that the car
had been chipped, but after driving my stock 93 S4 before and after the S6,
I don't think so. Will confirm with mechanic and previous owner if somebody
wants. It has been serviced for the last several years by the same guy I
use, so additional info is available on the mechanicals.
I don't think there are any mods to the car at all except an Alpine CD
changer. From what I could tell by looking, the suspension is stock, it's a
bit softer than my Bilstein equipped car, and all parts I could see looked
original.
Not affiliated with this person at all, just thought I would pass along some
info on what appears to be a nice S6.
Let me know if you want her phone numbers.

PS: All the snowblower talk is great, but theres 2.5 feet of fresh pow in
the back bowls that have my snow attention right now!
