I was getting Real Tired of hearing my wife complain about her remote not
working, so I just reprogrammed both. Jimmy and Darin, if you'd like, feel
free to post this on your site(s). Here's what I did:
Programming the 1995.5 Radio Frequency Keyless Remotes
1) Get two keys, and all remotes.
2) Ensure remotes have good batteries.
Simplest is to replace them with new ones. I used
Duracell DL2032. While you're replacing batteries,
the lighted key uses one 625 watch/camera battery.
3) Put one key in the ignition, and turn to "On",
dash lights lit, but car not running. Get out and
close the driver's door.
4) Put the other key in the driver's door lock.
5) Lock the car with the key in the driver's door.
6) Select the remote you want to activate seat memory
position one.
7) Press both buttons on remote one until car unlocks.
This should take about 5 seconds.
8) Select the remote you want to activate seat memory
position two.
9) Lock the car with the key in the driver's door.
10) Press both buttons on remote two until car unlocks.
11) If you have more than two remotes, repeat 8), 9) and
10) with each succeeding remote.
12) Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
The remotes should now all work. They should lock and
unlock, and invoke the seat memory corresponding to the
order in which you programmed them. You can test this
as follows:
13) Close the driver's door. Lock the car using remote
one. The car should lock.
14) Unlock car using remote one, and open the door. The
seat and driver's door rearview should move to
memory position one.
15) Close the driver's door. Lock the car using remote
two. The car should lock.
16) Unlock car using remote two, and open the door. The
seat and driver's door rearview should move to
memory position two.
17) If you have more than two remotes, repeat 15) and
16) with each succeeding remote.
