Mani (and S-gruppees): I sort of had the same problem when I installed by Porsche Boxster-based BIRA brakes. The brake pad warning is based on wearing through some wires embedded in the pads opening up a circuit. So as long as the circuit is closed, no warning. As soon as the circuit is opened, i.e. pad sensor cable is disconnected (my situation), the pad wears or a wire breaks (or is broken by a monkey-lad) (sounds like your situation), the warning light comes on. In my case, I simply cut off the old pad sensor cable end from the dead Audi pads and plugged it into the cable from the chassis harness. (And then taped the heck out of it). Warning light gone.

Sounds like you need to use a multimeter to see if you have closed or open circuit back to the warning system.
