Specifications are between 9 Bar and 13 Bar and the wear limit is supposed =
to be 7 Bar, while max difference between cylinders is 3 Bar. Unplug each i=
njector connection (very easy) and unplug the wires from the PSO (i.e. unpl=
ug the coils). Oh... and do it while the engine is warm not cold... doh! Y=
ou could also pull the 20A fuse for the fuel pump, it's fuse #17 (or at lea=
st it is on my car...) just to be sure.

Check out http://www.s-cars.org/urs4s6/ <http://www.s-cars.org/urs4s6/> fo=
r a buyers guide and classified's for prices.

Best of luck !

Cheers, /James.

Hey, I'm a new subscriber to the s-car list as I'm looking at possibly
picking up a 92 S4 next weekend. I posted this question to the main
q-list but didn't get a reply. Anyhow, here is a copy and paste from my
	q-list post:

I'm toying with the idea of buying a 92 S4 with about 180k on the clock
and I had a few questions:

-	What is the spec range for engine compression?

	- What is the best method to perform a compression check on the AAN?
For cars with a single coil I typically unplug the FPR and the connector
on the coil.. So I assume it would be similar for this car except unplug
_each_ of the coil packs? Where is the FPR located on this car?

	- What's the price one would expect to pay for a car of this vintage
with this kind of mileage? Condition is fair.. a few scratches on the
	bumper/paint, nothing major.

I haven't had a chance to inspect the mechanicals of the car yet. It is
being offered for what I think is a fairly good deal, $8k (which I may
	be able to talk down).

I've read the buyers guide at s-cars.org for a basic idea of what to
look for, but any additional insight would be appreciated.

	Thanks!
