The premier 24 Hour race was won by the French -- a Chenard et Walcker
Sport. A 1-2 sweep, actually. Other French winners that come to mind are
Lorraine-Dietrich, Bugatti, Delahaye, Talbot-Lago and Renault Alpine.
And, I seem to remember something about a Peugeot 1-2-3 sweep -- a feat
repeated since only by Audi. (There's that Audi content.) OK, Frederic,
consider this a payback for the French support in the American
Revolutionary War. We're even now. :-)

Hold down, we already provide the track, the facilities, the food and
the wine.
Seriously, you are not expected us to provide on top of this list the
cars ?!?!?!?!?!
We do that occasionnaly anyway, just to teach others how to do things
properly: Matra and Rondeau are two famous french winners
