Been a while, but I seem to remember taking mine out with 2 horseshoe shaped
metal tools.
You may be able to fashion them from some coat hanger wire, or just go to a
stereo installation place and ask them to slide it out.
There are 3 plugs in the back of the head unit, and you will need the code
to be able to use the radio again should you remove the power.
