I have removed newer style head unit many times in the
S6 avant. There are two small slits about 0.300" wide
on the bottom section of unit, spaced about 5 inches
apart. I cut some shim stock slightly smaller than the
dimensions as the height and width of the slot, and
around 5 inches long. Hacksaw blade peices may work if
you cut them down. You just insert these in the slots
and spread them open to pull radio out using the
shims. The old horseshoe style clips only work on the
older style unit.
