[s-cars] Rear Brakes, Stereo Upgrade, & Ignition Timing

Three questions for which I humbly beg the answers from the collective wisd=
om of the list:

1=2E Is there a decent rear brake upgrade for a 93 S4? I know it's not crit=
ical, but for the MSRP of an OEM rear caliper (~$900), I figure I can use t=
he same money towards a whole new rear system. Note that I am NOT looking f=
or a cheaper OEM caliper, but rather an upgrade that (hopefully) is in the =
same price ballpark.

2=2E My stereo amp is dead, as is the CD changer, as is the AM section in m=
y Bose radio. Since all of these items are warranted by my fancy new warran=
ty, I am thinking I'll take the same dollars and buy a non-OEM solution. Lo=
oking for good clean crisp sound with tight bottom end. I've always thought=
 Bose system sounds good for OEM, but can't drive to high dBs and missing v=
ery clear details. Also, anyone know who repairs Bose amps (the rear one) i=
f I need to get that done?

3=2E Any way to tell when running RS2 setup and insanely high boost if the =
ignition is being retarded? I know the driver is (so save your jokes), but =
how can I tell if and how much it's being set back when running hard?
