Have you considered BIRA for brakes? www.bira.org?

Ian,
I have already asked on the 20V list with no joy. Your idea about early RS2
sounds like a good start.
Something you wrote broke me up. "real brakes"????!!!!. Let me tell you, if
it is a real S2 or even a faithful replica, it has to be equipped with lousy
brakes. Otherwise by definition it can't be considered real. It is the worst
thing about my car.
But I am going down the Brembo caliper/S8 rotor route. But first the
suspension.
Thanks for you reply,
Richard

Another source of info regarding the Coupe quattro is http://www.20v.org/,
or the 20v mailing list at http://www.rennlist.org/signin/audi.htm.
A number of members of this list either still own or have owned Coupe
quattros. Some of us in the US even own ersatz S2s (lucky/bold sods), where
a Cq was taken into Frankenstein's lab, and had either a 3B or AAN motor
installed, 5 lug hubs, 6 speed tranny, S2 hood, projector headlights, real
brakes, and more, such is the draw of owning an S2 in the US.
An option for your rear suspension question might be to look at either RS2
parts, or late US-spec Cq rear suspension. Early US-spec Cqs had no rear
sway bar, whereas later ones did.
