Scott

No, I do not throw codes. No, we haven't been able to dyno the beast yet.
Yes, I am painfully aware of the cfm limitation of the RS2 MAF. This would be
another reason I limit my boost with the Apexi.

WRT turbos, IC and big. You had previously stated that the highest rwhp you
had built was 330 or so. Where did this 418 rwhp fella come from and what
type of turbo was he running? My winter project will be a tube header and the
Pederhousen Big MAF which is of course unobtanium outside the inner core of
the CO Mafia! I do know that my FMIC works like a champ. With the remodel of
my front bumper cap and the reallignment to almost vertical with the I/C, the
max charge air temp I see is 10 degrees above ambient. And, that's after
sustained full boost runs. Most of the time I see 1-2 degrees above ambient.
When you can run 91 octane at 26 lbs of boost with no detonation you're
getting very effective cooling of charge air. Is that something foolish or
too expensive to have? I don't think so.

You and Bob may consider Mike P. and I to be bastard children for runnig
piggyback boost controllers and adjustable fuel pressure regulators but we're
operating these cars at the fringe. Until we can get someone to program the
ECU while on the dyno we have take what we can get. Bastard child or not I
can tell you that both of these Dave Jones built green machines run like
stink and go like hell. I also smile a lot when I'm behind the wheel. So
Scott, can you celebrate here with me? I've got a great car that I'm very
happy(pun intended) with. Am I through modifying it? No, I'll never be
through! There will always be that next improvement. My wife just can't
bvelieve that I don't want to buy a new car. I'd rather have fun with this
one. I think I'll go wash and detail it for that Euro get together tomorrow.

Hap, smiling and styling away in Evergreen, Maguire
