[s-cars] euro lenses

Morning-

Well, it's that time of the year again. What time? The time about where
the wife begins to ask "whattaya want for Xmas, honey?".

And the obligatory / knee jerk response? CAR PARTS! She IS a good wife.

OK, question:

At risk of drudging the bottom of the Hudson or kicking post-mortem equines,
can someone please provide definitive (yeah, right) info on Euro lenses?

Why? I've seen some talk before, back and forth, and know both ECS and Puma
are resources. BUT, the pair my friend Brian got from ECS downright say
"DOT" right there on the lens. He questioned Tom, but was assured they're
the Euro's. Sounds odd, so it prompts my inquiry here.

Yeah yeah I know, "do the full Euro / Xenon / whatever upgrade Paul and get
it over with". Kinda hard to tell the wife a $1k+ kit or a DIY $500 kit is
a "stocking stuffer", no?

2ndly, anyone have experience / thoughts about PIAA 9006 lo / 9005 hi / H3
fog bulbs? Disclaimer: they are NOT blue, they're white. My friend
installed them in his ///M3 fogs so they'd better match the Xenon's and not
look so yellow in comparison, and likes them, but figured I'd ask you all
(and stir the embers a bit). Any BTDT? I'm thinking install Euro lenses,
clean reflectors, projectors, upgrade bulbs, and be a tad happier.

Let the opinions / mindless banter and dribble fly!
