WG: [s-cars] First gear noises?

Maybe a restart is always done after a complete stop, hence use of the
brakes..
Try to shut off the engine on a long slope, while in speed, (Beware of
removing the key!!!) and restart using the key after some seconds.
(Don't use the brakes in between.) Try to engine-brake the car to an
almost halt, and accelerate in first and second.
Still a problem? See a native american and get him to remove the
'ticker'-spell put on the car by the Pinto-driver you passed doing 150
miles about two months ago..
You didn't tell if the noise is wheel-rpm or engine-rpm dependant? Might
shed some light..
May be defective engine/tranny/snub mount causing the engine to twist in
low gears?

Thanks Bjorn,
I do have new brakes on the car so maybe something is hanging up, the
investigation continues. What's so weird about this problem is to why
the
restart of the engine is the determining factor in making the noise
apparent
through the first two gears again?!?! Weird I tell ya, weird!
