Ken,
You can tell that it's an ur q by the core support as well as the
hydraulic system. I can tell it's an '84 -'86 by the hydraulic pump.
Later MB (10V) and RR (20V) ur qs used a different hydraulic system and
pump, identical to '90-'91 CQs and 90 20V cars in the US. You can tell
its a Euro car by the ABS. You can also tell that it's wasn't an RR ur
q because the RR cars have a removable section of the core support just
in front of the timing belt cover. The core support is solid in the
picture.

The 20V ur qs use the RR code engine, which is virtually identical to
the 3B as used in the '91 200q and early S2s. No ur q was fit with an
distributorless engine from the factory.

So, this tells me that the car in the picture was '84- '86 ur q that
someone put an AAN (ur S4/6), ABY (S2) or ADU (RS2) engine in. My
guess it that they used the ABY.

Seeing that the description says that it will fit a 20V ur q, I think it
would be safe to say that it would clear a distributor. Only the RS2
intake would have trouble clearing a distributor, and you can make them
fit with some minor modification. Due note that the description for the
manifold in question also says that it is a blemished item that was
repaired. Caveat Emptor.

One other note, it doesn't say what fuel rails will fit. It shows the
ADU/ABY type fuel rail with the integral FPR. The 3B FPR bolts to the
intake manifold. If the bosses for the FPR mount aren't on the intake,
you would either need to add them or use the ADU/ABY fuel rail.

Happy bidding!

HTH!

Steve

Regarding that pic, the engine, and the car that it's in:

Does that appear to be not the original engine, if that is an
ur-q? The valve
cover appears to be one with direct ignition. Were the 20vt
ur-q's fitted with
AAN/ADU/ABY style direct ignition, or were they fitted with
physical ignition
	distributors like a 3B?

I would like to know if there were any ur-q's with 20vt with
direct ignition from
the factory. I'm trying to determine if that manifold would fit
on a car with a
distributor. It is said to fit an S2/RS2 and ur-q 20vt. I know
the first two are
direct ignition, but I though the RR/ur-q 20vt had a
distributor.

If that's true, and that pic is an ur-q (how can you tell? it
looks like the core
support has a bend in it, and I thought the Type 85's are fairly
straight), then
perhaps it has either been converted to direct ignition with the
other valve
cover, or the whole motor has been swapped to that style.

	Does that makes sense?

	Thanks,

	Ken
