Hi listers, I'm going to do some brake service on my
car very soon and need some input on a couple things:

1. Anyone have a rear caliper tool (the Audi one) in the
PA/NJ/NY area? Otherwise, I think I'll buy the one from
Harbor Freight that Igor so kindly suggested to me:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=40732

2. Is anyone running race-compound pads in the rear year-round?
I need pads all around and am considering Porterfield R-4 for the
rear to run year-round. I figure the rear brakes don't do a whole
lot and if I can still get some brake performance when cold, I might
do that. Squealing, unless it is constant and extremely loud, doesn't
bother me one bit.

3. Can e-brake cables be done w/o too much difficulty in the driveway,
on jackstands?

Taka
