[s-cars] Avant Spring Question

Hey all you avant owners.
Im curious if my car has stock springs or not. All records indicate it
is stock.  The beauty seems pretty damn stiff but there are no others
around to compare to.
If I press down with all my weight (200 lb) on the front I can barely
get it to drop.  1/2" max.
Its also rather harsh on any less than perfect road surface.
How stiff is stiff?
